communicating scienceIt may be fun doing experiments in a vacuum, but doing science in one is not. We feel our science is only impactful if it can be presented in a way everyone can understand. We work to communicate and disseminate our research both in the classroom and through community outreach. Below is selection of our work so far, but we are always looking for more community partners!

Teaching - Biotransport (BME 505/605)
The capstone project of BME 597K/697K pushes students to create a piece of visual 'artwork' to communicate a biotransport concept in less technical, more understandable language for a broader audience. The students find this exercise both challenging and fun, as they must develop their ability to discuss science without equations or jargon and instead use a creative outlet of their choice.
